LVL

Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) is produced from  :- 

  1. Pine or Poplar square logs which is sliced into thin veneer sheets of approximately 3mm or thinner
  2. The sheets will be dried under hot press treatment to ensure moisture contents to be approximately 10% or below
  3. Quality is then selected
  4. Those selected veneers will be glued on top of one another layers till a solid board is formed

        a)   The wood grains will be position only on one direction only  

        b)   For plywood, it is glue in the format of cross-grains
               (vertical – horizontal – vertical – horizontal layers)

        c)    For LVL, it is glued in one same grain direction
               (vertical – vertical – vertical – vertical layers)

   5.   For LVL, it can be processed through any moulding machine to any types of 
         profiles, for example  :-

  • Flat Jambs
  • Casings
  • Window Frame
  • Dowels
  • Balusters
  • Stair-Case Handrails
  • Stair-Threads
  • Any other types of moulding profiles
